CLASSIFICATION PURPOSEThis non-exempt job classification is responsible for transporting company materials, equipment, and/or staff to the areas where they are required in a safe, timely, and cost-efficient manner; perform related work as required.

Responsible for driving Company vehicles safely.
ensures proper safety standards, policies and procedures are met pertaining to safe driving and traffic safety.
maintains control of their vehicle by being alert, paying attention and being able to stop quickly.
loads and unloads organization's materials.
maneuvers and controls the vehicle in a safe fashion, which includes handling the vehicle on-site and in over-the-road situations, proper signaling, searching for hazards, controlling speed, lane positioning, matching speeds to road conditions (wet, dry, snow, or ice);able to drive during the daytime or nighttime.
finishes all paperwork connected with the transportation.
transports products, materials, and staff securely to areas where they are needed.
ensures that materials and staff are protected and secured.
ensures timely transportation of staff and materials to and from places as instructed by supervisor.
ensures that the inside and outside of the vehicles are kept clean at all times.
conducts out routine checks on vehicles and ensure they are sound.
recognizes electrical and mechanical faults and report all issues to the supervisor.
reports any instance of mishap or accident to the supervisor.
performs periodic maintenance on vehicles, such as adding motor oil, as well as refueling.
reports any case of accident, injury or damage of vehicles to the supervisor.
keeps all records, including receipts for vehicle maintenance.
keeps a travel log to record areas travelled to, travel time, and work hours.
pays tolls and other fundamental vehicle demands.
dresses professionally and in accordance with company's dress code.
schedules vehicle examination for service vehicles with the Shop.
uses route navigation apps and knowledge of driving area.
drives safely in inclement weather, such as rain.
follows local and state driving laws and road regulations.
maintains driving log, prepares vehicle forms, and achieves daily performance goals.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEAn example of the preferred education, training, and/or experience that demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills, and competencies for this position includes at least two (2) years of professional experience involving commercial vehicle operation, transporting materials and staff, and travel safety similar to that described above.

SPECIAL NOTES, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSPre-employment:
Incumbents must sign the Confidentiality, Non-disclosure, and Non-solicitation Agreement prior to their first day on the job.
License:
A valid driver's license and/or CDL certification is required at the time of hire.
Incumbents may be required to provide a 3-year driving record from the DMV.
Language:
Though not required, bilingual English and Spanish skills are desirable.
Certifications:
No certifications are required of this position.
Working Conditions:
Work is predominantly conducted outdoors in a moving vehicle, exposed to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and noise levels; exposure to dust, pesticides, herbicides, grease, oils, dust, fumes, and electrical currents.
Background Investigation:
Incumbents must have a reputation for honesty and trustworthiness.
Misdemeanor and/or felony convictions may be disqualifying depending on type, number, severity, and recency.
Prior to appointment, candidates may be subject to a background investigation and/or drug test.
Introductory Period:
Incumbents appointed to this job classification serve an introductory period of three months.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
