Health Data Decisions, a growing health analytics and consulting firm is seeking a Junior Healthcare Data analyst to support client projects and internal product development. The analyst will analyze and creatively interpret healthcare data to provide health plans, health systems and health analytics partners with effective data driven solutions and assist with decision making. The data analyst will support senior staff with conducting research, performing data validation and writing queries and reports using tools such as SAS, SQL and Excel. A professional in this position is engaged at all stages of data collection, validation, transformation and mining and analysis. The candidate is expected to have hands on experience using either SAS or SQL and must be able to write programs which create and execute analytic reports. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years professional experience working with databases, developing reports and drafting data and business requirements. Prior college coursework in computer programming and statistics will be considered as part of this experience. Healthcare experience and knowledge of health insurance a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities
Perform analyses of various data sets and draw conclusions in accordance with the objectives of the project
Data gathering and synthesis to create data sets ready for analysis.
Create analytical reports using tools such as SQL, SAS and Excel.
Evaluate various business problems and design data-oriented solutions
Determine the methodologies and procedures for carrying out effective data analysis
Develop and implement plans to measure and report on health care delivery cost, utilization, and trends
Effectively support analytical projects by participating in and coordinating all stages of the development life cycle.
Work closely with subject matter experts in planning and developing analytical methods for data collection, maintenance, and analysis.
Technical Competence
Programming languages: SQL, SAS, C, Java
Databases systems: SQL Server, Oracle
MS Office tools: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lync, Sharepoint
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Public Health, Business Administration, Mathematics, or any business-related field
MPH preferred
Compensation
This is a full time salaried position with benefits including healthcare, 401K, bonus, profit sharing and a generous Paid Time Off program. Salary is commensurate with experience. The candidate will be located in the Northeast region.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
